Though Will Smith’s name has been floating around the internet pretty regularly as one of many celebrities who have allegedly participated in some dastardly deeds alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs, he’s stayed mostly quiet about the online speculation—until now.
Speaking in a brief moment at a during a performance at the Observatory North Park theater in San Diego on Thursday, the “Bad Boys” star took beat to address the chatter and made it clear he is in no way, shape, or form connected to the now disgraced Bad Boy mogul.
“I ain’t been nowhere near that man, I ain’t did none of that stupid shit so. Whatever y’all heard, if somebody say that—it’s a damn lie! I don’t even like baby oil,” Smith said to the crowd before chuckling. “I had to say that publicly …I usually don’t respond to dumbass stuff because like, it’s so many things that people like to [they] say so much stuff. But that one, the memes was doing too much.”
As previously reported by The Root, while Smith isn’t and hasn’t been named in any lawsuits related to Diddy and any of his allegedly illegal doings, he and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith were wildly namedropped in the alleged posthumous “memoir” from Kim Porter that went up on Amazon Prime back in Sep. Though the book has since been taken off the website and its legitimacy has been questioned and debunked by Diddy and his kids, the Smiths as well as a handful of other celebs were roped into the mess and accused of allegedly engaging in some pretty wild activity.
Be that as it may, it looks like Smith is ready for all the talk to be silenced once and for all.
