Under the production guidance of Grammy Award-winning producer Jay Joyce, “Happiness Bastards” stands as the tenth studio album by THE BLACK CROWES, marking their return to original music after 15 years. This record delivers a raw and authentic rock ‘n’ roll sound that is both contemporary and true to their roots. In anticipation of the livestream event, Amazon Music customers can enjoy “1972”, an Amazon Music Original EP by THE BLACK CROWES which pays tribute to the best rock of 1972, curated through collaboration with the band and Amazon Music.
After a decade and a half since their last original album, the Robinson brothers unleash “Happiness Bastards” as their tenth studio record. While some may view it as the result of challenging times, others see it as the perfect moment for its unveiling. Whether attributed to sibling bond or musical fate, this highly anticipated album marks the glorious return of a legendary band, potentially rejuvenating the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll. In an era where the genre is overshadowed by polished successors, THE BLACK CROWES are reclaiming their place with raw, heartfelt music that embodies the essence of rhythm and blues at its best — unfiltered, powerful, and bold.
Since their reunion in 2019, THE BLACK CROWES have regained their stride with over 150 shows across 20 countries worldwide, commemorating the 30th anniversary of “Shake Your Money Maker” — the album that propelled them to stardom. Upon returning from the road, they realized the need for new material to reflect their journey. The Robinson brothers and longtime bassist Sven Pipien teamed up with producer Jay Joyce in early 2023 to craft an album that echoes their collective experiences and roots. And now, the wait is finally over — “Happiness Bastards” will be released on March 15, 202
