The last episode of Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ first season respects the memory of the late Lance Reddick, known for his role as Zeus in the Disney+ series.
Deadline reported that the Season 1 finale’s closing credits feature a heartfelt tribute with a title card that reads: “In loving memory of Lance Reddick.” The actor, known for his roles in productions such as John Wick and The Wire, passed away unexpectedly due to natural causes on March 17.
Reddick’s role in Percy Jackson stands as one of his last performances, given that his demise occurred shortly after the completion of production.
Renowned author Rick Riordan, along with many others, expressed their respects for Reddick following his passing, acknowledging that “his gravitas and regal bearing made him perfect for the king of the gods.”
In addition to his contributions to film and television, Reddick was also known as an avid fan of video games and made appearances in various titles, including the Destiny and Horizon franchises.
In a heartfelt gesture, Destiny players gathered in the game’s hub, The Tower, to honor Reddick, while Horizon: Forbidden West included an in-game tribute in its Burning Shores expansion, paying homage to the actor’s legacy.
