As the internet continues to speculate on the state of Nicki Minaj’s marriage, the “Pink Friday” artist took to social media to set things straight.
The New York native dropped an Instagram video of herself, her husband, Kenneth Petty, close friend, industry exec Deb Antney, and Nicki’s son, known to the world as “Papa Bear,” getting on a private jet. The adorable family moment shows Minaj and Petty helping their little one up the first step of the plane, before he triumphantly climbs the rest himself.
It’s a very sweet moment that seemingly indicates all is well in their household. The video doesn’t have a caption, so we’ll have to wait to get an actual statement from Nicki.

It’s no secret that Nicki Minaj and her fans have a very intense relationship. The Barbz are locked in on everything their fav does. From wardrobe malfunctions, to legendary guest appearances, they’ve had plenty to talk about during her “Pink Friday 2” tour. However, nothing has set them off like the “Barbie World” artist’s two word post on Monday.
Nicki took to X to post “Yes Single” and the Barbz didn’t know what to do with themselves. There were plenty of questions about whether she meant a music single or her personal life. Most of us would immediately jump to a new music single, but there’s a catch.
During a recent stop on the European leg of her tour, the Grammy winner offered up some deep thoughts on love, saying in part, “ i don’t want to be loved, i don’t wanna love anyone all it’s ever done is take away my powers…I’d rather not be lied to than loved.”
Obviously, this could just be her playing a character in the show, but the monologue combined with recent rumors about marital troubles has people talking. With all this drama in the air, the Barbz were in a frenzy on social media trying to figure out what’s going on with Nicki and reacting to rumors that she could be single soon.
One user suggested that her fame may be too big for a relationship, writing on X, “She has issues but I do believe that some women aren’t meant to be in relationships. Sometimes their aura is bigger than that.”
Another person thinks the tour has her evolving into a different artist, writing on X, “This tour is waking her up that queen sleeze persona is finally leaving and shes getting her superpowers back.”
One fan noted that everyone could be completely off base, posting, “She’s always talked about previous relationships during this segment like pls.”
Meanwhile, another user reminded everyone that Minaj is still a real person who deserves compassion, writing on X, “People actually want her to be single?? Y’all this is human being.
Hope you meant song.”
No matter what you think of Nicki, she’s a pro at staying in the conversation, so whatever is going on, we should probably all be prepared for more drama to come.
