Five years ago, I entered the world of Mommy blogging in Canada. It has been an enjoyable journey, providing me with the chance to have some amazing experiences and involve my entire family.
Some mommy blogging tips!
First and foremost, it’s crucial to have a clear understanding of your audience. Identify your niche and target audience, for instance, Black moms in Canada or breastfeeding moms in the USA.
Next, focus on building relationships, which can all be done online if you’re not comfortable networking in person. Attend mommy events, connect with other bloggers, content creators, influencers, and engage with PR/brands through social media. Don’t be afraid to slide into those DMs.
It’s about establishing long-term partnerships and relationships. Support others’ content, and they will support you in return.
Always know your stats, such as audience demographics, engagement rates, and any previous collaborations with other brands. For instance, my reach is high in the USA and Canada, and I know I can reach readers in the UK and India. Pretty cool, right?
Lastly, always follow up and reconnect. It’s important to remember that support may not happen overnight, so be persistent but not pushy. Also, be prepared for rejection, it’s part of life. Brush it off and move forward!
