With fall in full swing, I can’t help but reminisce about last year’s Friendsgiving at Aba in Bal Harbour Shops. Host, Emilie Sobel gathered a great group for a special evening of good food and great company. Aba was the perfect spot for us to gather to celebrate, with its stunning ambiance and Mediterranean-inspired menu.
You’re seriously missing out if you haven’t been to Aba yet. It’s tucked inside the iconic Bal Harbour Shops. The moment you step into Aba, the warm lighting, greenery, and chic decor set the mood. Every corner of the restaurant is Instagram-worthy.
Of course, the food was the star of the show! It was my first time at Aba, and it did not disappoint. Drool-worthy creamy hummus and labneh to char-grilled lamb chops. The pistachio-topped whipped feta was a standout, both visually and taste-wise.
For the occasion, I wore a sleek cut-out, cream bodycon dress. I thought it balanced sophistication with just the right amount of sexy. Accessorizing with my favorite Brandon Blackwood leopard vanity purse for a statement piece. Then finally my Chanel patent black mules with the pearl accent heel. I also wore bows in my hair for the first time since I was a child. It was a hit for the evening.
Of course, Lauren’s dog Mushu was the best accessory! ? He always steals the show.
The night was filled with laughter, conversation, and lots of wine. It was such a joy to come together and celebrate the season with friends, old and new. I love that Friendsgiving is all about gratitude and connection. That evening was a reminder of just how grateful I am for the community I’ve built here in Miami over the years.
