By now everyone is well aware of the battle (or lack thereof) between Meek Mill and Drake this past summer. The skirmish was the talk of the Hip-Hop world, being thoroughly covered by every publication while also overanalyzed by writers, journalists and pundits. In the weeks since, the conversation has died down but it is still very clear that Drake is the victor.
Remaining rather quiet since then, Meek has been hard at work on his forthcoming project “Dreamchasers 4.” Critics have suggested that the Philadelphia rapper should focus on making great music and put this summers events behind him. Now it appears that this may not be case. A few days ago, footage surfaced of Meek in the studio with Houston rappers the Sauce Twinz, who have also previously dissed Drizzy on record. Later on, cover art popped up online which suggests that the trio are planning for a Drake diss record.
Today, Meek once again has the Internet in an uproar after posting a photo on Instagram sporting two diamond rings with the caption “What A Time,” an obvious subliminal to Drake and Future who released their joint project “What A Time To Be Alive” in late September. These recent events have only further fueled the rumors of an impending diss. As of right now, everything is purely speculation but this feud is clearly not over from Meek’s perspective.
What a time…..
I wonder if Drake still has the “3 peat” loaded in the chamber. – Rocko Rathon (@Rocko_CNK)
