With a triumphant career spanning close to 25 years now, it’s no surprise that the King of Memphis, DJ Paul, is set to release another album: Master of Evil. This project is not only sure to please true fans of Da Mafia 6, but also make another great stride in Paul’s career.
In a recent interview DJ Paul — when asked what’s to be expected of the album — stated:
Since [my fans] have been asking me to do that I took it back to a little more old school. It’s not all the way old school, but this album is all the dark sounds. Even the songs that ain’t dark songs that might be about a girl – or something else – it still got dark elements in the music. That’s one thing that I made sure that I did. I gave them almost the whole album, if not the whole album, of the dark music that they’ve been asking for.
With a title like Master of Evil you almost gotta do that.
Not only is the content more personable, its quality — whether in mp3 format or CD — is similar to that of vinyl. “I recorded the whole album then I put it on vinyl. Then I re-ran it through the system and remastered it like that,” says DJ Paul. “So, the whole album sounds like an old record.”
Master of Evil, available for purchase Oct. 30th will also have features from Juicy J, Lord Infamous, Yelawolf, Violent J of Insane Clown Posse, Lil Wyte and Billy Wes.
