Amazon Music is expanding its video content with a focus on +44, a playlist and broader brand dedicated to Black British music.
The ‘+44 Performance Series’ will feature artists performing live on custom-designed sets in collaboration with director Otis Dominique and set designer Jade Adeyemi.
The first performance will showcase rappers Giggs and Potter Payper with ‘P.A.D (Pistols At Dawn)’ from Giggs’ latest album, and can be viewed on Giggs’ official YouTube channel.
Amazon Music has already revealed that NSG, Sainté, and Unknown T will be part of the upcoming series.
This is the latest effort by Amazon Music to promote +44 as it endeavors to build the playlist into a recognized brand.
Last August, +44 was the focal point of Amazon Music’s live streams from London’s Notting Hill Carnival, with highlights from the event subsequently aired on the official +44 podcast.
