Nipsey Hussle’s legacy continues to be honored.
Commencing on January 15th on 1500 or Nothin’ Day with a surprise appearance by Dave Chappelle, the Los Angeles-based collective is paying tribute to the late Nipsey Hussle by unveiling a new collection in partnership with Anti Social Social Club. The collection features limited edition hoodies, shirts, and accessories.
The collection, designed by 1500 or Nothin’ co-founder James Fauntleory and titled Heaven’s Angels, serves as a homage to the family and friends of the Grammy-award winning ensemble. In addition, proceeds from the collection will support 1500 Sound Academy, a music school in Inglewood, California, with a mission to empower the next generation of recording artists and producers.
Speaking about the collaboration, Fauntleory remarked, “We had the opportunity to do something about more than clothes. The collection is a tribute to resilience and a nod to the enduring legacy of both creativity and the human spirit. I wanted to pay respect to those who’ve heavily impacted this story, and celebrate the spirit of 1500 Day.”
A special tribute to Nipsey Hussle is featured on one of the standout items in the collection, with “LLNH” (Long Live Nipsey Hussle) emblazoned on the arm of the hoodie, along with the names of Carlos McSwain (Snoop Dogg’s former drummer), Charles “Uncle Chucc” Hamilton (a former member of 1500 or Nothin’), rapper Brandon “G.I. Joe” Joseph, and others.
Anti Social Social Club expressed their excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Our products have always shown up in the hip-hop space, and we’re excited to be collaborating with James and Rance, who have played a big role in defining what hip-hop sounds like today. 1500 or Nothin’ has been a driving force behind many of the greatest hits of our time. With a collection called “Heaven’s Angels,” ASSC is proud to play an ode to some of their past friends and collaborators who helped them get to where they are.”
All the items in the collection feature graphics designed by Fauntleroy, including the hoodie, long sleeve tee, short sleeve tee, coaches bag, Nalgene bottle, and dad cap. Prices range from $35 to $99 and the collection is available for purchase on ADDC’s online store.
